We believe in the transformative power of sports and the inspiring stories of those who lead change through it. This is the driving force behind the We Will Lead Africa (WWLA) Sports Volume, for which we are now accepting submissions. This volume is a joint initiative led by Dr Memuna Williams, Clarisse Machanguana, and Randy Soumahoro, who are dedicated to amplifying the voices of changemakers in African sports.
Are you an African sports professional, athlete, coach, administrator, entrepreneur, or advocate making a significant impact in your field? Do you have a story of leadership, innovation, and positive change in the African sports ecosystem?
This volume will celebrate the journeys of individuals who are driving positive change through sports across the continent. It will highlight diverse career paths, challenges overcome, and achievements that are shaping the present and future of African sports.
We invite you to share your story and contribute to a narrative that will inspire the next generation of African sports leaders. Your experiences will serve as a catalyst for change, fostering an equitable and inclusive sports ecosystem where youth can thrive as changemakers.
We are particularly interested in stories that:
– showcase leadership and impact in various aspects of the sports industry
– highlight innovative approaches to challenges in African sports
– demonstrate a commitment to inclusion, especially youth empowerment and gender equity
– illustrate the diverse career opportunities within the African sports ecosystem
