We Will Lead Africa (WWLA) is looking for a refugee artist to design the cover art for our upcoming Refugees, Peacebuilding, Security (RPS) volume!
This collection will centre the leadership stories of everyday Africans and Afrocentric people who have made significant strides as former or current refugees and/or impacted the advancement of refugees, peacebuilding and security efforts across the world. You can read more about the volume here.
Keeping with our goal of honouring and amplifying refugee voices, WWLA would like to invite any and all African refugee artists to submit artwork for the cover. This art should demonstrate one or more of the following themes:
- refugees (migration, movement, journey)
- peace
- security
- African/Afrocentric identity
- leadership.
The selected artwork will be used in the volume cover as well as additional promotional material related to the volume. The artist will be awarded with an honorarium of USD 150 and 2 free copies of the book.
